The Present Day

Otinoves Dairy is the successor of 80-year-old dairy tradition in Drahany Highlands. Long-term experience is combined with the latest knowledge in milk processing in production procedures in use. The milk comes from veterinary checked sources, from protected zone of Moravian Karst and Drahany Highlands. The main product of Otinoves Dairy is natural blue cheese Niva.

10 million litres of milk are processed and 1200 tons of blue cheese are produced every year in the dairy. The dairy building has been reconstructed completely and a new dairy shop has been built on the ground floor. A modern mellow cellar has been built within European Union-backed program SAPARD, as well. This cellar guarantees ideal conditions for mellowing of blue cheese loaves. Subsequently, the sewage works has been rebuilt completely.

The dairy places great emphasis on quality of products provided. Therefore, it has established a system of quality check according to ISO 22 000 regulation and an international standard IFS.
